I received my acceptance letter a couple days ago! Eeee! I am so excited to be in Vancouver this September.
I actually had breast surgery last Wednesday so I’ve been avoiding anything using my arms for a while, like using a mouse or a pencil. But I’ll be back in full force soon 8)
oh gosh I haven’t posted here in ages! ahh! but I’m back now and will scan & post some things tomorrow. I will be recovering from surgery soon so I’ll have lots of draw time :-)
In the meantime feel free to send me any requests of characters of yours etc!
Today my friends took me into town to do a little exploring. The Kinokuniya was amazing! I wish I had more time and more money. I ended up getting this Will Eisner book (they had Drawn to Life and The Art of Pixar but those are already en route to my house!) and a Zebra brush pen, which is flow-y and lovely.
We also went to King’s Comics and I picked up The Anthology Project, mainly because the art on the cover was so nice.. lol… but it’s an anthology of comic short-stories by different artists.
Back to drawing!
the lovely rose wong renders her drawings beautifully with a mechanical pencil, and I was inspired to try shading a bit smoother than I normally do!
definitely check her out.
here is a really (really) old drawing of mine because I felt like I haven’t uploaded in forever! I’m just posting this to say that I am in Sydney, Australia for the next 10 days, so uploads will be infrequent unless I can find an SD card reader.
I finished the requests I received and will upload when I can, in the meantime feel free to send more! I’m particularly fond of drawing other people’s characters.
